About

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University. My research develops scalable algorithms for submodular optimization with provable performance guarantees, and applies them to problems in data pruning, multi-agent coordination, and environmental monitoring. We work across theory (streaming/parallel algorithms, approximation guarantees) and applications, with publications at venues including NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, AISTATS, KDD, and JAIR.

Current projects:

  • Scalable algorithms for submodular optimization: streaming and parallel methods with near-optimal approximation guarantees
  • Data pruning for combinatorial optimization: reducing ground sets while provably preserving solution quality
  • Applied ML for environmental monitoring: recreational fishing detection from satellite and mobility data (with NOAA & LGL)
  • Multi-agent coordination: cooperative game theory and decentralized policies for submodular team objectives
